The remaining designers find the need for speed as they craft a computer rendering of a new vehicle inspired by General Motor's SS model racecar used in NASCAR. The focus turns to functionality as the remaining competitors are challenged to design and transform a Chevy Express Van into a unique mobile vehicle for a small dog-grooming company. The designers must not only present their vehicles to the judges, including guest judge and celebrity dog training guru and business owner, Tamar Geller, but also put the vans through a real-world test at a public dog park. In Part 1 of the finale, the three remaining competitors are tasked with the using the 2014 Chevy Camaro as a canvas to create a new clay model Camaro show car for the next generation.
