After two years of peace, KAI suffers a stroke again and is sent to hospital for treatment. KAM grabs the opportunity and reveals to the TONGS that she has been married to KAI for two years. KAM and TAK have a pact with renowned solicitor TAI KIN-HEI. The three of them will gang up together against the TONGS in the fight for the family fortune. KAM, accompanied by TAK, PO and the CHEUKS, has arrived at Tong Ki. KAM requests more than 50% of the family fortune, which shocks and outrages KAI no end. KAI gets so worked up that he falls down in a faint again. After saying goodbye to LEUNG, SUM gets into a taxi. SUM learns from the taxi driver that there is a horrific collision between a car and a taxi somewhere nearby. Fearing that LEUNG is involved in the crash, SUM hurries to the scene of the accident to see what is going on. LEUNG, on the other hand, is also worried about SUM and decides to make his way to the scene of the collision at once. KAM is furious to hear that KAI has revised his will, under which his children will inherit a full share of the family fortune. TAK goes to consult HEI for legal advice.… ...

SUM is astonished to hear that LEUNG is involved in a car accident. She hurries to the hospital at once but by the time she arrives, LEUNG has already passed away. Among the things left behind by LEUNG, SUM has found a sea shell, on which the words “Please Forgive Me” are carved. SUM breaks down again as she catches sight of the sea shell. KAI, who is lying on his bed in the hospital, explains to his children that it was HAU’s decision to pass the four remaining “double head abalones” to KAM. He hopes that KAM will have a change of heart after receiving this precious present from the TONGS. SUM is still suffering from the pain of losing LEUNG. ON do nothing but keep her company day in and day out. To make SUM feel better, ON decides to bribe the taxi driver who knocked LEUNG down. As instructed by ON, the taxi driver approaches SUM and tells her that LEUNG had said he had read her email before he fell to the ground.… ...

YAT would like to set up a number of chain restaurants, which is however opposed by LEI. KAI suffers a stroke again and KAM arrives at the hospital soon afterwards. Not long after, LEI, ON, YAT, FOON and YAN also come along but all of them are driven out of the ward by KAM right away. KAI wakes up suddenly and agrees to revise his will to offer KAM a half share of the family fortune on condition that his children and granddaughter are allowed to stay. KAM agrees to his request. KAI has a nice chat with his children, during which he has not mentioned a word about his will. KAI finally passes away without having his will revised, which irks KAM no end. KAM is so disappointed in KAI and blames him for keeping cheating her even before his death. As KAI’s legal wife, KAM insists on holding the funeral of her late husband. SUM has brought together a team of legal professionals, all of whom are LEUNG’s ex-colleagues, to work alongside her in the legal battle against KAM. ON is very grateful to SUM for her help. KAM confesses in a press conference that she and TAK are an item. Having heard what KAM says, FOON gets extremely upset and keeps trembling with anger. ON has taken full control of the family finances, about which YAT is very unhappy. LEI tries to defend ON and gives YAT a good telling-off. ON responds that he will leave for South Africa and stay with LIT when the proceedings are over. SUM is a bit upset to hear that ON will be leaving Hong Kong soon. LAI returns to her mother’s home and gives the CHEUKS a severe dressing-down for ganging up with KAM and TAK only for the sake of money.… ...

YAT states in court that KAI was in a state of confusion after suffering a stroke. According to YAT, KAI had mixed up two traditional Chinese festivals and asked to have a bite of a mooncake during the Dragon Boat Festival. To satisfy KAI, YAT was left with no choice but to turn to the CHEUKS, who run a Chinese tea restaurant, for help. One of LAI’s family members testifies for YAT and emphasizes that what he says in his statement is absolutely true. SUM blames YAT and the CHEUKS for providing false statements. She goes on to point out that, according to the records provided by Hong Kong’s Immigration Department, YAT was in Australia for about ten days around the Dragon Boat Festival and that what he said in his previous statement is just a pack of lies. The TONGS come to realize that it is all a plot by YAT – he means to make a false statement in the hope that the benefit of the doubt will go to ON and LEI in the end.… ...
